NURSE PERFORMANCE GOAL  
2009-10

Herrera will meet the Immunization Requirements for school attendance in 2009-2010
Students with speacial needs will have optimal health outcomes.

Special need students will develop an understanding of their community.  They will sharpen their cognitive and social skills.

Strategies

All parents of students new to Herrera will be informed of any delinquent immunization for their child and they will be referred to our partner, the Burbank School Clinic, as a resource for the missing shots.

Parents will be encouraged to keep the students' school nurse and teacher informed about any health problem or a new medical protocol planned for the student.

Field trips to the Zoo, Children's Museum, "Chucky Cheese" and "Old Mac Donald's' Farm" will afford the students in the M.I. and Life skill classes to learn about their environment.
